>St Patrick’s Parade – Part 2

>After the parade the older generation decided to head to Molly’s Pub instead of our usual haunt The Bear & Bull Pub. The nice thing about the Bull & Bear is that it is bigger so everyone would fit at 1 large table plus they serve a full lunch menu. I had the best curry there last time! We all walked the 5-6 blocks to Molly’s.

There was only 1 waitress on duty. She was not very competent. The excuse she gave for seeming flustered, besides being the only one working, was that she normally works in a different bar. Huh? Not to be mean but a bar is a bar & waitressing is waitressing. It ain’t rocket science folks. Those of us with kids sat in a different section from the others & ordered lunch. It was 2pm by then. We ordered pub grub – hot dogs, sandwiches, nachos type of food.

By 3:30pm our food had still not arrived. I was grumpy, Hubby & Kiddo were grumpy. The other kids were grumpy along with their parents. So the 3 of us plus Julie, Colin & their 3 kids packed up & left. Hubby spoke with the manager & let him know how unhappy we were with the situation.

Kiddo fell asleep in the car on the way home. We stopped at a local Chili’s for dinner. Hubby was angry at his sisters for choosing Molly’s instead of Bull & Bear. We heard later that the food finally arrived about a half hour after we left. Around 7:30pm the rest of the family gathered at Irene’s house. Hubby was still angry so he didn’t go over like I encouraged him too.

Sunday afternoon we all gathered at Irene’s for more family time. This consists of the older adults sitting on the back patio (which is gorgeous by the way) drinking & talking. The younger adults wander in & out of the house. The kids play inside & outside the house. Dinner was brisket with all the fixings.

Char & Alan gave the kids Wisconsin t-shirts. They all looked so cute together!
