>Today I’m combining The Rusted Chain’s Fingerprint Friday with This Eclectic Life’s Only the Good. I strongly encourage you to read both of these blogs & check out the posted links. You will definitely find something to inspire & lift you up! Heck, you might find another blog to read on a regular basis. Charlie, Dad, & I are headed to San Antonio. We are driving up late this afternoon. Tomorrow is (my cousin) Tara & Alex’s baby girl’s Simchat Bat ceremony.
Michelle Elizabeth was born on April 21st. Her middle name is a family name – our paternal grandmother’s 1st name as well as mine.
What is a Simchat Bat ceremony? Why, I’m glad you asked. I had to Google it myself. My cousin converted to Judaism when she married. We have been to their 2 boys Brit Milah ceremonies but I didn’t realize there was a ceremony for girls too. According to Wikipedia, there isn’t a formal recognized ceremony but instead a celebration put on by the family.
New babies are definitely a good in my book. Babies are the perfect Fingerprint from God as well.
Psalm 139:14 “I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” American Standard Version
