>Fingerprint Friday

>There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it’s true
You’re a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you’re covered with the fingerprints of God.

So look around you and see where YOU can see God’s fingerprints in your life. Please visit Beki over at The Rusted Chain for more Fingerprint Friday posts.

Kiddo attend Vacation Bible School (VBS) earlier this month at a local area church. He is scheduled for another VBS at Southminster next week plus 2 more in July.  Vacation Bible School holds a special place in my heart. I have blogged about VBS several times, once this past March and last year too.

I can not say it often enough – VBS workers are SUPER special people. For some children, Vacation Bible School (Backyard Bible Clubs, etc) is their first and/or only exposure to church and God. These volunteers are visibly demonstrating God’s love to each & every single child. VBS teaches children so much about God and His love for us.

My mom loved Vacation Bible School. She always volunteered to teach either a class or the missions segment. Mom thrived on teaching children about God. Mom had a true heart for missions, as evidenced by my parents’ work as missionaries in Africa & other places. There were always lots of visual aids, some involving my sister & me in native costumes no less.

So if your child participates in VBS this year, be sure to give his or her teacher a big Thank You. Or even better, take time to volunteer to help your church’s VBS. Even if you can’t teach, you can help by bringing snacks, with the music, donate craft items, or even just being a go-fer.

(that’s my Kiddo the arrow is pointing too)
