Mommy – No Doodlebug, yesterday was the last day of school. Remember?
C – Oh. So I am a first grader now?
M – Yes.
C – But Mommy, that’s not right. How can I be in first grade if I’m not 7 years old yet?
M – Charlie, you are 6 and a half years old. You finished Kindergarten. That’s how you get in 1st grade.
C – Are you sure? That doesn’t sound right.
*sigh* 6:30am was too early to have that type of conversation.
