>I have figured out what to get most of the people on my Christmas gift list this year. I even have bought most of the items already. Some gifts are being made and are works in progress, like the dress up boxes for the 2 little grand-nieces and a crocheted scarf for our nephew.
I have a wide range of ages to buy for and a wide variety of people. My dad is ALWAYS the most difficult to buy for. He gets whatever he wants whenever he wants it. Dad is a Grinch or Scrooge about the holidays. He has been as long as I can remember but it has gotten worse since Mom died. I will probably see if Dad has already bought the newest Sarah Palin book, America by Heart : Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag, and if not then that is what he is getting. Otherwise, I’m clueless.
I have already given Hubby my list of books to chose from for one of my gifts. I really want the latest in Lauren Willig’s Pink Carnation series, The Mischief of the Mistletoe: A Pink Carnation Christmas. I would also like Rick Riordan’s newest book in the Young Olympian series, The Heroes of Olympus, Book One: The Lost Hero. Technically it is the start of a new series but it is still about Camp Half-Blood.
For my sister, another difficult person to shop for, I will probably buy her a cookbook, maybe Pioneer Woman’s The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl. For her stocking stuffer I am going to make her a Russian stamp ornament (like the ones I sell in my Etsy shop) to celebrate their impending adoption of 2 boys from Russia.
