>Bowling

>Last Sunday Kiddo, Hubby, & I joined our church for a Family Bowling night at Katy Times Square. It was Kiddo’s first time to bowl ever. I haven’t bowled in 10 years or so and neither has Hubby.

Quite a few families turned up for the fun and festivities. There was a separate area reserved just for our group which was nice. The lanes had automatic bumpers that were tagged with a child’s name so when their name came up on the scoreboard, the bumpers did too. Pretty cool if I do say so myself!
Even Brother John got into the action! Matt, of course, took on the youth and Sandy joined our game.  There were some “professional” types *cough* who even had their own bowling shoes and balls. Matt wisely put them all together in their own lane.
Kiddo wants to go bowling again. He beat me by 5 points in the second game. Not bad for a kid who refused to granny bowl. Kiddo insisted on starting at the very back of the lane and running to the edge to throw his bowling ball.
Kiddo spent the time between turns organizing the bowling balls as they popped out of the return chute. I think the return chute fascinated him the most.
