>Book Review – "The Best for You"

>I won this book from Anna, from AdoptiveMommaofTwo, a few weeks ago but haven’t had the chance to write about it yet. The book is titled, “The Best For You”. It was written & illustrated by Kelsey Stewart. She is a birth mother who has placed twice & you can read more of her story on her blog, The Birth Mother Voice

I like the book. It is written specifically towards adopted children but would be a great resource to use to explain adoption to other kids. Personally I think it is better suited for older kids who might have questions about their adoptions & first families, such as age 6-9ish. It is perfectly suitable for younger children as well. My son is 5 & I have read it to him several times.

I love the way Kelsey explains her thought processes for choosing adoption along with her feelings. She makes it very clear it was not because her baby was unloved or unwanted by her. The theme of love is apparent through out the entire book.

The Best For You” is published by AuthorHouse & can be purchased from them directly for $9.99 by clicking on the title link.  It is soft cover, 8.5″ x 8.5″ & 19 pages long.

** Disclosure ** I won this book from Anna. No requirements for review were part of winning the book. I just think it is a book worthy of being mentioned. ***
