Since my hubby’s family is Irish (1st generation) we celebrate St. Pat’s in a big way. One of our annual traditions is to attend the local St. Patrick’s Day parade downtown. Almost everyone in the extended family shows up for the parade. We even have family members that participate! Jason, Robin, and Casey are all drummers in the Houston Highlanders Pipe Band. They march in the parade as well as making a variety of appearances all over the city. Robert’s dad was a piper in the original Highlander’s band years ago.
It was a cold and rainy day but Charlie had fun watching the parade. His favorite part was seeing all the cars and trucks along with sitting on Daddy’s lap.
After the parade we went to a local pub, The Bear & the Bull, for lunch. The service was awesome as usual. The food is very good and reasonably priced too. I don’t drink but everyone else said the drinks were great too. Charlie and Gavin had tons of fun playing together.
