Screw the Lorax. Screw the #@%$ trees! And all their little plant friends too!

I am 100% convinced Mother Nature is trying to kill me. Slowly and torturously.  If you live in the Houston area, it is guaranteed that you will have seasonal allergies. Except they aren’t truly seasonal – they last all freaking stinking year long.  If you don’t have allergies when you get here, you will within a year.  So killing some plants would just be payback right? Self-defense?

So back to my rant…

I had a drippy nose and mild dry eyes. I was handling the spring and pollen counts pretty good until this past weekend. Apparently all that “fresh air” and nature stuff at Galveston sent my allergies into maximum overdrive. I now have a nasty phlegmy cough that rocks me to my toes. I’ve been gagging up mucus for the past 2 days. I am sleeping sitting up so I can actually GET some sleep without coughing.

This is not a deep chesty cough like an upper respiratory infection. Nope. Just plain old allergy gunk cough. On the positive side I no longer have a headache.  At least the crap is coming up and is clear. That is the only positive thing right now.

I am seriously thinking of living in a bubble.
