Ruby’s Howl-O-Ween collar

As I mentioned earlier, I don’t do much for Halloween around here.  We do go Trick or Treating but even then I don’t wear a costume or get dressed up.

This year is already different. I’ve put outside decorations up! I even carved one of those Funkins and put it by the front door.

Charlie is thinking about what costume he wants for Trick or Treating.

This year I picked up a Halloween costume and collar for Ruby, courtesy of PetSmart and BlogHer ’12. I haven’t put the costume on Ruby yet but she is wearing her Howl-O-Ween collar by Martha Stewart.

It’s a little big so she’s wearing the collar over her regular collar. Doesn’t she looked thrilled?

The collar is adorable and has held up quite well despite Ruby’s attempts to eat the spider. The collar has a cute spiderweb pattern on it. It is fully adjustable, has a D-Ring for tags and the latch is easy to operate.  The stuffed spider has a jaunty smile and is sitting on a white fabric flower.

PetSmart celebrates Halloween with gusto! Why should our pets be left out of the fun?  Oct. 20th, a Saturday, from 3:00-5:00pm (local times) is the Howl-O-Ween Costume Party, Pet Parade and Photo Event at your local PetSmart.

They also have a Monster Cute Facebook Photo Contest on their Facebook page. You can submit a photo of your pet in 1 of 5 catagories for a chance to win great prizes, including the $10,000 grand prize, a year’s supply of GREENIES and a PetSmart treat bag filled with Halloween toys.

PetSmart has also created a Spooktacular Costume Machine on Facebook where you can upload a photo of your pet and virtually try on different costumes in addition to receiving special discount offers.

Now the dog is ready for Halloween, next is getting Charlie ready!

{Disclosure: I got to pick out a free collar and costume courtesy of PetSmart at BlogHer ’12 after the Fashion Show. My opinion of the costume and collar are entirely my own. }
