Today we are headed to Brownwood, Texas and Howard Payne University. This weekend is Homecoming and the Class of 1990 is having our 20th reunion! I am so excited to be going it ain’t funny! Hubby is somewhat less enthused and Kiddo is clueless.
Friday is going to be a day of relaxing. Nothing much planned but touring the campus, checking out the float building in the barns, and eating the best BBQ at Underwood’s. It is a family restaurant and the BEST place to eat! Homemade rolls, real butter, home made peach cobbler with Cool Whip, plus a variety of meats and veggies – Drool City. The wait staff walk around and refill your bread and peach cobbler for you at your table, what more can you ask for? This is Hubby’s favorite part of the weekend I guarantee you.
Saturday is going to be a busy day. Starting with the All Alumni breakfast, our class gathering, the parade, lunch, and then the football game. Go Yellow Jackets! Sting ‘Em! I can’t wait to see all my friends that I haven’t seen in ages. We’ve kept in touch via email, phone calls, and Facebook but it isn’t the same. Laura and I have been gathering photos to create a multi-media presentation for our reunion. Can’t wait to see it!
