I love finding crafts for holiday decorations for my house on Pinterest. I found this mini-flag wreath idea and decided I would try to make it myself for Independence Day.
It is extremely simple. I picked up several bags of mini flag toothpicks at Party City and a 10″ Styrofoam wreath at Hobby Lobby. I watched TV and put the toothpicks into the wreath form. Max helped.
I did this over several nights but you could easily do it in one sitting. It took maybe a total of 3 hours? I used approximately 4 bags of mini-toothpicks. Some of the flags I shoved deeper into the Styrofoam than others. I started out making the flags all face the same direction. Later I turned them any which way to fill up the open spaces.
Overall I would say this was definitely a Pinterest success! What Pinterest inspired projects have you tried lately?
