Seven app

Charlie’s physical therapist recommended this app to me. They had been using it in Charlie’s sessions.

Seven is free and pretty simple to use. It is basically a set of exercises you complete in 7 minutes. The default setting is for a whole body workout. It is pretty intensive for being just 7 minutes! There are 10 second breaks between each individual exercise. The whole body workout includes 12 different exercises for 30 seconds each.

You can customize the trainer’s voice on the app to what works for you. There are a variety of reminders to set as well. As you complete the workout you unlock additional 7 minute workouts.  Some are for specific body parts such as core or upper body. You can repeat each circuit more than once if you so desire.

I like this app. It is easy to find 7 minutes during your day. The workout puts you through a variety of exercises that get your heart rate pumping. I have not completed enough workouts to unlock beyond the whole body option but hope to by the end of the month.

I recommend this app to anyone who is just starting to exercise or wants a quickie work out during the day. Being so easily customized this app also works for hard core athletes on their “rest” day. It is easy enough for kids to complete or to exercise together as a family.
