Being in the land of coffee, espresso, and cappuccino when you do not like nor drink coffee gets you some weird looks.
Dad, Rachael and I landed in Rome Italy Saturday for a Monday business meeting. This was very much a short notice emergency type of thing I promise! We are flying back on Wednesday.
Since nothing was planned for Sunday except reviewing the presentation and making sure Dad and Rachael had everything they needed, I wanted to do some sightseeing. So Sunday morning Rae and I took the tram to the Roman Coliseum. Well technically the Piazza Venezia and then walked down to the Coliseum. It was a beautiful morning! We walked past the Imperial Forum and an organic agricultural festival. There was even a bicycle race going on!
The Roman Coliseum was breathtaking! It is huge and amazing! Unfortunately we did not take the tour inside the Coliseum. Rae and I walked up Palentine Hill and past the Roman Senate before returning back to the hotel.
