I needed photos of just me taken to use for my blog and ultimately a media kit. I rarely include myself in photos other than the traditional Family type pictures. I do not consider myself photogenic at all and generally dislike how I look in pictures. Charlie and Hubby are the photogenic ones in the family. Even their passport photos turned out good!
A friend is starting her own photography business, Jen Bates Photography, so I arranged a photo session with her before our trip to Africa. Jennifer was sooo patient with me! I didn’t know exactly what I wanted beyond decent pictures of me. It was a freezing windy cloudy day no less. Jennifer offered to reschedule but I just wanted it over and done with. Jennifer did a totally awesome job despite my shortcomings. She made me feel comfortable and we had fun. I even brought along Lulu, my personal Monkey Do Project mascot, to get some photos with her as part of being a MDP Blogger Ambassador.
I love how the photos turned out!
