>I’m know I’m late but we had a wonderful weekend with my cousin & family over Memorial Day. Hubby, Kiddo & I drove up to San Antonio that Sat. morning. Once we got to the hotel, we popped over to Tara & Alex’s house (yes, the one that tried to kill me) and spent the afternoon lounging around the pool. Kiddo had a blast swimming with his cousin, George. George is only about 8 months younger than Kiddo so for once my son wasn’t the youngest boy. Kiddo enjoyed having someone else to boss around instead of being the one bossed around.
On Sunday we went to Kiddie Park. That is so neat. If you have little kids, I’d say about 5-6 & younger, you should definitely check it out the next time you’re in San Antonio. The park is recently refurbished and reopened. Aunt Cecie says they took Tara there when she was a little girl. All the rides are original to the park. Kiddo, George, & Sammie had tons of fun. Kiddo rode the car ride many many times. Michelle just slept through it all.
After lunch, we went to see the dinosaur exhibit at the Witte Museum. It is interactive, pushing the buttons makes the dinos Roar! There was also a sand pit where young paleotonalogists could uncover dinosaur bones for themselves. Kiddo & George raced outside to explore the HEB Discovery Tree house next.
Then it was time to come home. We will be back however later on this summer. I think family is important & I want Kiddo to know my side of the family as well as Hubby’s.
