My husband had emergency surgery last night for a perforated bowel. I am operating on about 1 hour of sleep in a 24 hour time period.
Charlie has school today so I will be getting him up in a few minutes. Dad stayed with him last night from about 7:30pm until I got home at 3am or so.
I will be back up at the hospital around 8:30am or so. I have started a list of things I need to get done and people to call.
He lost about 1/3 of his colon last night and will have to wear a bag for about 3 months before reconstructive surgery can take place. The surgeon said it was a nasty mess of sepsis and a huge hole.
Please pray for us. That is all I can go on right now.

OMG. OMG. OMG. This is kind of one of my nightmares, well not exactly but close.
I’m so sorry and I’ll be thinking of all of you. I wish we did not live so far away so that we could help in some way.
Oh No! I am so sorry to hear about your husband! I hope that he makes a full recovery…..I have a permanent bag, so I understand the situation! Hang in there! 🙂
