Houston Nutcracker Market 2013

Yesterday I spent the day with my sister-in-laws at the annual Houston Nutcracker Market. The Nutcracker Market is a Houston holiday tradition benefiting the Houston Ballet.

This was my first time attending to the Market. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect beyond an overwhelming selection of gift giving, holiday decorating, homemade goodies available for sale.

I wore my comfy shoes and was prepared to shop till I dropped. I didn’t have a list of people to shop for, just kept my eyes open for whatever caught my fancy and seemed perfect as a gift.

Hours later we had covered over half of the Nutcracker Market and were ready to head home. I saw lots of amazing things, so many SHINY THINGS, and snacked my way through a gazillion samples.  I bought only a few items but am happy with my purchases. I picked up a few business cards for future shopping. I found great teacher gifts for December Teacher appreciation week.

It was wonderful to spend the day with my SILs and we had so much fun together. This is definitely going to be an annual tradition for us! I am thankful for the opportunity to spend the day with these 3 amazing ladies.
