>I tried my hand at making a tutu for a little girl this week. It turned out pretty good. I went with the knotting method which was sooo much easier than gathering & sewing! I had no idea these things use so much tulle. I’m wondering if it is too poufy & maybe I need to use only 1 layer instead of 2. This tutu is for my son’s school Fall Festival & Autumn Bazaar on Oct. 24th.
This tutu has a 16″ elastic waist so it fits a 1 year old little girl on average. The bottom needs trimming. Doesn’t look too bad overall I think!
I will be making more for the Southminster Fall Festival & Autumn Bazaar plus the 1st United Methodist Missouri City Fall Fest as well. Our etsy shop has a booth at both events. FUMMC Fall Festival is Nov. 14th.
