>Fingerprint Friday – Vacation Bible School

>There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it’s true
You’re a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you’re covered with the fingerprints of God

Where do you see God’s Fingerprints in your life? This week? This year? Today? In your kids, the sunset, a friend, prayers answered? Check out Becki over at The Rusted Chain for more links to other Fingerprint Fridays!

Charlie spent this week at Vacation Bible School (VBS) at a local church. He will be attending another one next week and again in July.

I have written several times about how important VBS is and the impact it has on kids and families.  I see God’s fingerprints all over the wonderful volunteers who work VBS.  I am grateful for the wonderful memories I have from both attending and volunteering at Vacation Bible Schools over the years.

For many children and their families, this is their first time inside a church. VBS is a chance for Christians show show families that God loves them. That a church is more than just ceremonies, doctrine, and formalities. A church is made up of people, imperfect, but doing their best to demonstrate God’s love and follow His teachings. That Christians are more than “Organized Religion” which is heavily criticized for many reasons; some valid, some not.

So be sure to thank your local church for having VBS. Thank the many people it takes to make a successful VBS week. Pray for the children attending, the teachers, helpers, and others who are involved in VBS over the summer months.

I know I am.

Elizabeth
