Well, this year one of the nieces decided to make an “announcement” that the price limit is now $20 or she and Jason are not participating. Gee, and Ashlie wondered why people got upset? To make that decision without consulting anyone else in the family along with an ultimatum! What did she think would happen? Then Ashlie got into a snit because people reacted badly to her proclamation.
The lower price works for us since this has been a rough year financially but it still should have been put out there for everyone to discuss. And to say you won’t participate unless people agree with you is taking everyone hostage in a way, or emotional blackmail!!
I did like that another niece wrote up a sheet for us to fill out with info about sizes, favorite colors, music, hobbies, etc. That went over pretty well with everyone.
