What an awesome idea was my first thought when I read about this on GreenEarthJourney’s blog. I even bookmarked it just in case some of my Christmas lights didn’t work when I got around to putting them up. Sure enough, some of the outdoor lights didn’t work today. I told my husband, Robert, to save them for me because I am going to recycle them. We also bought LED lights to replace the bad ones – also eco-friendly since they use less electricity. I’m boxing up and mailing my Christmas light tomorrow. Plus the company uses the money from recycling to buy books to donate to Toys for Tots.
