Moving up to Boy Scouts means camping once a month. This also means Charlie having a permanent backpack just for camping along with a mess kit and other sundry items.
In theory the boys are supposed to take a bath at least once while camping over a weekend. After all, a Scout is clean according to the Scout Law. This means including a towel in the permanent camping backpack. I don’t want Charlie taking my “good” towels on campouts. So here is my solution!
I bought basic inexpensive brown bath and hand towels at Wal-Mart. I put a large metal rivet in the long side so the towels can be hung from a nail or hook without falling down. Then I machine embroidered the Boy Scout logo along with Charlie’s name and T1424 on both towels. I am pretty happy with how they turned out.
Now I need to make a set for me. Apparently I am chaperoning the Troop’s weeklong Summer Camp in June.

I love this idea. LOVE IT!

I am pretty proud of myself for coming up with the idea.
