Z Nation on SyFy channel

I adore zombie books and TV shows. I record The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead and watch them faithfully. Occasionally I stay for the talk show rehash, Talking Dead.  Jonathan Maberry’s zombie books are amazing. I even enjoyed Apocalypse Cow.

If you are interested in a slightly different take on the zombie apocalypse I suggest you check out Syfy’s  original TV series, Z Nation. The show doesn’t take itself quite as seriously as the AMC shows. There are quite a few puns and twisted humor found in each episode. Don’t get me wrong – there is plenty of action, blood, and gore as well! I enjoy how the characters manage to keep their sense of humor despite the overwhelming odds. The plot includes an anti-hero in Murphy and the hope of a vaccine to cure the zombie illness. The characters are likeable, even Murphy, and the group moves around much more than TWD’s. Crossing the country has put the protagonists into some *ahem* interesting situations. Zombies on Viagra anyone?

You can catch up on Z Nation on the Syfy website. I recommend you give it a try.
