Welcome to 2010!

>Wow! I enjoy the start of a new year. It is a time of reflecting on the previous year including the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is a time to start thinking about the upcoming year; setting goals, plans, cleaning out the garbage, getting organized, and starting all over!

I have made some new bloggy friends that have inspired me and given me some awesome ideas to try out for 2010. ThriftyDecorChick has me making an ornament wreath right now for the future Christmas 2010.  Jenna over at Stop, Drop, and Blog is an amazing woman! She is a birth mom & has given me lots to think about regarding Kiddo’s birthparents. She also suggested a new reading website, GoodReads, that I’m going to take a look at to track what I’m reading, I’ve read, & want to read.  Beki at TheRustedChain has amazing jewelry in her Etsy shop & hosts the Fingerprint Friday series.

I am going to participate in Project 365 that my friend Michelle has mentioned before. It is basically taking 1 picture a day that sorta represents that specific day to you and then posting it on Flikr in the Project365 group. Hopefully that will inspire me to be more creative with photography (like my friend Jim who is an amazing photographer in San Antonio) as well as chronicle my year for me.

For Christmas I received a Wii Fit Plus. So did my friend Allison. So we are going to start working out and get healthier in 2010.

My sister & I have a great opportunity arise for our Etsy shop, L & R Designs. The adoption agency we used for Kiddo gives baby blankets to all their new parents. So now we, well actually my sister, will be making these blankets for Family to Family Adoptions. I plan on sewing more unique baby & toddler items as well as promoting our shop more this coming year. I’m not sure exactly how we’ll do this but it is a plan!

I am going to clean out my office again. I am going to become more organized & work on putting things/items up where they belong. You see, I am a clutterer. Yes, I admit it freely – shouting it from the mountaintops! That is my curse along with being a packrat. My BFF, Allison, is the best in that she will periodically call me to say she is coming over. Then she makes me organize my office, house, garage, whatever room is the project of the day. I mean the woman is heartless! We make donate, trash, put up piles, buy baskets, put things up, all sorts of cool things. I love her for that! So does Hubby.

Well, this has been a long post so I thank you for reading it & sticking through to the end. Hopefully you will check out some of the links & find some new blogs to follow.

Elizabeth
