If you are one of the gazillion people flying somewhere this week and flying through a United Airlines hub, look for one of the United Paws Ambassadors! United Paws is a program that United started during busy holiday (not just Christmas) travel times. Let’s face it – flying is rough these days. Holiday flying is super stressful. Who couldn’t use a puppy hug or sloppy kiss while hanging out at an airport?
United is brining in trained therapy dogs from organizations in each of their hubs to help brighten the holidays for travelers. So if you are in Denver, Chicago ORD, Cleveland, Newark, Washington Dulles, Houston IAH, or Los Angeles airport between Dec. 21 – 23, keep an eye out for a friendly United Paws puppy! These dogs are ready, willing, and able to bring a smile to your face.
Post on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #UnitedPaws Donation and United will donate $1 to therapy dog organization in each location per post. Take photos and share how a United Paws dog made traveling during this hectic season better. I hope United keeps this program and rolls it out during busy travel times, not just Christmas or Thanksgiving.
United Paws ambassadors can be found at the following airports during these times Dec. 21-23:
ORD Chicago
9am – 12noon and 2pm – 5pm
DEN, CLE, IAH, LAX, IAD, EWR
9am – 11am 12noon – 2pm 3pm – 5pm
What a neat idea!
I thought so! It would make me happy to see a dog at the airport.
