Tecnu Bites & Stings wipes

While searching for new items for the Pack first aid kit, I stumbled across this box.

Down here fire ants are a real problem. They pop up all over and frequently you don’t see their mounds until it is too late. Having anti itch and pain relief on hand is always a plus. I hadn’t seen this offered in a wipe before so I thought I would give it a try. Individually wrapped wipes are easier to use when camping or outside than a tube of ointment or a liquid.

A few days later I accidently stepped in an ant pile at the dog park. Within seconds I knew they were fire ants. My foot and ankle were covered in small red pustules that itched and burned pretty badly. As soon as I got home I searched for anything to provide relief to my foot. I figured I would give these wipes a try and man, I am so glad I did! Immediately the itching and burning stopped. Two hours later my bites were still not itching! In fact the welts have not itched or burned since. It only took 1 wipe to get permanent relief!

The wipes are homeopathic and safe for children 2 years old and up. The wipes have a textured side which is kind of neat. Being individually wrapped makes Tecnu wipes easy to carry in your car first aid kit or purse. Perfect for any bug bites you might encounter while enjoying the outdoors!

I recommend you buy and keep these wipes on hand. Tecnu’s website even has a coupon! Tecnu offers other products including head lice removal and poison ivy treatments. I am going to look for the poison ivy treatment. If it works as well as the Bites & Stings wipes I will be thrilled. With all the outdoor stuff Charlie and I do with Scouting I’m pretty sure at some point we will need it.
