Stream of Consciousness Sunday – Anticipation!

Today’s theme is Anticipation! What are you anticipating or looking forward to in the next week?

I am looking forward to New York City and BlogHer 12 this week. i leave on Wed and will be back on Sunday. i’m going all by myself. i desparately need some time away right now.  lots to do before i go. i need to update blog with Hubby’s health…chemo is not working….waiting on referral for md anderson now

money to afford the trip..thank goodness the conference is paid for by me volunteering a few hours for 2 days.food is included which helps..just hotel and extras need to be covered.

pto stuff for getting ready for back to school.. need charlie to try on clothes to see what fits and what doesn’t. need to set up cub scout blog/website. worried about staying on track for weight watchers while in nyc.

to do list is partially complete. social anxiety starting. i wrenched my back which is a bummer

This is my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…

  • Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
  • Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. No proofreading or spellchecking. This is writing in the raw.
  • Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
  • Add the Stream of Consciousness Sunday badge to your post
  • Go to Jana’s Thinking Place and link your post.
  • Visit your fellow bloggers and show some love.

Elizabeth

  1. Oh I can feel your anticipation. Just staying on track with WW is enough huh? Sorry your husbands chemo is not working. Try to get those drawers cleaned out before you go and you’ll feel like you accomplished something. Enjoy your few days away.

    • I’m working on stuff slowly but surely. Mainly what I call scut work – stuff that takes time and looks like you’ve done nothing for 6 hours of work – like filing paperwork, laundry, running errands, etc.

  2. I’m hoping I’ll get to meet you while we’re in NYC! It’s going to be great! Thanks for linking up.

  3. Elizabeth, I feel your frustration in needing to get things done and feeling like nothing is getting done. I really don’t like that feeling, and I’m experiencing it a lot lately myself. Sorry to hear about your husband’s chemo treatments not working. That must be extremely frustrating, but you seem in good spirits and you’re maintaining a great attitude. Remarkable. Have a hell of a good time in NY! I’m so jealous that all of you are going and I’m not. I love, love NYC! It would be so good to talk to all of you, and get tips on how to become a better blogger. I want so badly to do this, but I’m off to a very rocky and not-so-successful start. Oh well, I anticipate things will get better! Peace. 🙂

    • Thanks! It is totally frustrating and the type of thing I (and everyone else does too) loathe to do like filing paperwork, laundry, running errands, etc.

I plan on having a wonderful time in NYC learning and soaking up as much as possible.

Things will get better, I cling to that hope daily!

  4. Hope your back gets better!!

And have fun at BlogHer! Pretty cool that you have some of it paid for. Enjoy NYC, too!

    • I hope so too. I can’t for the life of me figure out what I did to it. Last Saturday I was up and down a ladder trimming our trees with the chainsaw and by hand. I would’ve thought it would have hurt back then, not now!

  5. You’ve got a lot on your plate. I’m so sorry to hear of your husband’s health (the most important thing of all).

Have a wonderful trip to NYC. I just love that city.
