Kelly, Michelle, Jackie and I try to get together at least once a month for a Girls Night Out. It is tough to work around 4 different family schedules but we are a committed and crazy group. Kelly is in charge of finding a Groupon for the activity (if we can). We try something new every month if at all possible. In February we tried Painting with a Twist, one of those painting party places.
It was SO MUCH FUN! Kelly and I are the only ones who took the instructions seriously but the entire group had a blast. We were laughing and trash-talking the entire time. We were supposed to be painting a snowy night with cherry blossoms and a path. Some of us took more artistic license than others. Ahem – Jackie.

I totally want to do this again! Painting with a Twist offers classes for all ages including children. You can schedule a private group or party event if you want. Most of the classes are 21 and up with BYOB and snacks. Our instructors were fun and gave excellent instructions on how to paint the designated painting for the class. I am not artistic by any means and found myself pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to replicate what the teachers did.
There are other painting type places around so if you don’t have a Painting with a Twist by you, try searching “painting party” to see if there are any places locally. Some in the greater Houston area include Merlot 2 Masterpiece and Pinot’s Palette. You can even become an Independent Consultant at Social Artworking and run your own canvas painting party business!

I’m glad yours was fun too! I want to do it again but just need to find the right schedule. They offer kids classes so I might take Charlie next time.
