Today is Veteran’s Day, a day set aside to honor those who have served in our country’s armed forces. It started after World War I, the war to end all wars as it was thought at the time. You can read about the history of this holiday at the US Department of Veteran Affairs website.
Honestly though, if it was not for the men and women who served in the military our nation would not exist today. Remember something called the American Revolution and the Continental Army?
My maternal grandfather served during WWII as a Sea Bee.
Robert’s father served in the Royal Marines during WWII as well.
