Fingerprint Friday – God is good

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it’s true
You’re a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you’re covered with the fingerprints of God

Where do you see God’s Fingerprints in your life? This week? This year? Today? In your kids, the sunset, a friend, prayers answered? Check out Becki over at The Rusted Chain for more links to other Fingerprint Fridays!

It has been a rough month or two over here. Lots of bad stuff happening in a short amount of time. There have been many times when I’ve cried out to God  “Why? What now? I can’t handle anymore.”  I know He hears my cries. I know He’s answered. Not always what I wanted to hear and not always right away.

The truth is God has given us miracles this holiday season as well. Lots of people die from ruptured bowels and the subsequent infections. Hubby is alive and healthy despite the cancer. He has a great oncologist and we have a plan moving forward. We have wonderful friends, online and real life, who are like family to us. Our church and Sunday School class have been amazing!

There is a song that kept coming to my mind and heart that I loved in college. It’s by Billy Sprague and it’s called “La Vie”.  The lyrics “La Vie est dure, that much is sure, mais Dieu est bon, si bon” mean Life is hard but God is good, so good.  It’s a message I need to hear over and over again.

La vie est dure mais Dieu est bon, si bon.

Elizabeth

    • Thank you for your kind words. It’s a struggle daily to remember the good but the alternative is far far worse.
