Father’s Day follow-up

I just wanted to post a picture of the final product, Charlie’s gift to Robert for Father’s Day this year. For Father’s Day I copied an idea from Beki I saw back in May.

I bought some cheap wooden letters at Wal-Mart and spray painted them glossy white.  Then Charlie and I went out in the backyard at dusk to take pictures of him holding the letters.  After 30 mins of taking pictures & trying to get Charlie to cooperate I gave up. Looking back, letting him run around actually gave me some great shots.

I used Picnik to edit what I had, converted the photos to black & white, & created a collage. I used the photo collage as part of a Fingerprint Friday posting in June.

Hubby really loved his Father’s Day present! Once I matted & framed the pictures, the whole thing turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Here is the finished product hanging on the wall in Hubby’s office.

This would work for Mother’s Day or grandparents too. Just change up the letters. I am keeping the letters to use again for next year.
