Our adoption agency, Family to Family, holds an annual picnic for current & past families they’ve help adopt. This year it was at Dewberry Farm.
Dewberry Farm is a great place for families, especially during the fall. There is a pumpkin patch, hayrides, goats, slides, plus many other activities for kids. Kiddo had a blast on the little corn train. He rode it 2 times and would’ve been content to ride it a gazillion more times if we’d let him.
The big roller slides and Fort Dew Hickey were also a fave of the Kiddo. Basically, Hubby & I just sat and watched him run around and play.
We took the Hay Ride to the Pumpkin Patch. Kiddo is picky about his pumpkin. He wants a small one that he can pick up and carry “by myself”. The perfect pumpkin was found rather quickly and then it was back on the Hay Ride.
Dewberry Farm also has an area set aside for younger children. Kiddo was facinated by the water pump at the Duck Races. You hand pumped water into a trough, causing the rubber ducky to “race” to the end.
The weather was cold, windy and rainy. It was a great day together as a family!
