My friend Jenna, over at Stop, Drop and Blog, has the best ideas for photos and many many other things. I frequently try to emulate her ideas but honestly, I can’t come even close!
I love her pictures of their dog and boys in front of the Christmas tree. Even the goofy ones turn out awesome! So I had the bright idea of trying to take a picture of Charlie, Max and Ruby in front of our Christmas tree too. *sigh*
I should have re-read Jenna’s post from 2012 about her first attempt with Callie, LB and BB. And re-read her post from this year which had some nifty tips. And I should have remember Max and Ruby are not as well trained as Callie is. Neither is my son.
Not even with the promise of treats if they cooperated.
The dogs cooperated better than Charlie. He left after the first 2 camera snaps. Neither threats nor promise of treats worked.
This was the closest I could get Max and Ruby to the Christmas tree. They were very fixated on the treats I had for them.
This is the ONLY picture I could get with all 3 in near proximity of our Christmas tree.
Here is my favorite picture out of all the ones I managed to take. I love how Ruby is sitting with her tongue hanging out.
Have you tried to take a picture of your pets and kids in front of the Christmas tree? Or any “posed” type photo with animals and kids?
Giggle. I LOVE THESE just as much as I love Jenna’s photos. LOVE, Love, LOVE.
I will try to do it with our five kids and our three dogs… hahaha, stay tuned. It won’t end well. lolol
