On Wednesday, Charlie, Hubby and I will be heading for sunny San Diego! I’m going to the BlogHer ’11 Conference and we decided to make it a family vacation as well.
This will be my first BlogHer conference and only my 2nd blogging conference. Last year I attended the SITS Bloggy Boot Camp in Austin. That was only 1 day though. BlogHer is MUCH bigger! It’s 2 days and jam packed full of sessions, parties, and an Expo. I’m so excited and nervous I could barf squeal!
Lots of women and men will be there. There are blog posts all over the Internet about this conference. Go ahead and Google it – see how many blog posts have been written about BlogHer ’11 in the past two weeks. Many of them focus on what and what not to wear, the parties and swag. Others focus on meeting with brands and building your personal brand (I have no clue what mine is). Some feature technology issues; laptop or notebook and paper, best apps, etc. There are more than a few out there that just say Hey, just be yourself and have a wonderful time! I have no sense of fashion or style. I don’t have a laptop (borrowing my dad’s). I am not a Big Blogger. I don’t do well with large crowds. I don’t know anything about how to get sponsors, make money blogging or other stuff.
I am hoping to get to meet online friends in person. I am hoping to learn how to be a better writer. I am hoping to learn how to migrate this blog to my own domain and into WordPress. I am hoping to have a wonderful time relaxing with Charlie and Hubby while we visit Lego Land and the San Diego Zoo.
I will be writing up my experiences at BlogHer this week along with my normal family stuff. I’ll post pictures from our Frost Family Reunion this past weekend. It was exhausting but wonderful at the same time!
