Adoption Reading Challenge 2011

>An Internet friend, FireMom, is hostessing an adoption reading challenge for 2011 over at her adoption blog, The Chronicles of Munchkin Land. This is her first time to host a reading challenge and I decided to join in.

FireMom is a birth mother to Munchkin and parenting her 2 adorable boys, BB and LB, along with FireDad. I don’t remember how I started reading her blogs but am so glad I found them. She has challenged me as an adoptive parent in many ways but mainly in my dealings with Charlie’s birth mother. I have begun working on a more open relationship with Charlie’s birth mother over the past year, at least on my end.

Anyhow, the reading challenge as different levels and the rules are simple. I’m starting with Level 1 – 3 books about adoption, either non-fiction or fiction. Once I get through the 3 books I will see where I want to go from there.

FireMom and Sassymonkey have encouraged me to put some thought into setting reading goals for the upcoming year, not just reading whatever catches my eye, although that is certainly okay. You can check out their reading goals for 2011 by clicking their names (at the beginning of this paragraph). These 2 lovely ladies have definitely given me something to think about.

If you want to join me in the Adoption Reading Challenge, just sign up over at The Chronicles of Munchkin Land, choose your level, chose some books, grab a button and start reading. Easy Peasy!
