A Very Merry Pops

For three years Charlie and I have attended the Houston Symphony’s A Very Merry Pops concert. It is now officially a family tradition!  This year Taina went with us.

Since I changed the date of the concert we had to pick up our tickets at will call. I was pleasantly surprised the Symphony upgraded our seats to Orchestra seating! We were 5 rows from the stage! The kids thought that was really cool. Thank you Houston Symphony for making our tradition that much better!

As usual the concert was wonderful. The music was a mix of orchestral and song. Every year a written work is read and sung. This year was “Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch Who Stole Christmas“. It was very well done! The kids said the reader sounded “just like the guy in the cartoon!”

  1. What a great holiday tradition! It sounds like so much fun, especially since the Grinch is one of my favorite Christmas stories. Happy new year!

    • Thanks! Charlie prefers this to the Nutcracker Ballet and so do I. The Grinch was so well done! Last year it was a reading of “The Night Before Christmas”. Happy New Year!
